A PLEASANT SURPRISE

It was past eleven at night when the doorbell rang and me with my daughter looked at each other with a big question mark on our faces, astonished, as to who could be on the door, so late, at this hour of night as no one comes to our house so late. My husband was in the other room. Firstly I waited for a second for my husband to come and open the door, but God knows what came into my mind that I got up to answer the door. I switched on the light outside the door and slowly, with a peculiar curiosity I removed the curtain aside and to my utmost pleasure, I was dumbfounded. I could not believe my eyes as it seemed to be a dream come true. I blinked my eyes to check whether I was day dreaming.

Sonuuuuuuuuuuuuuu…………………………! Tum (you). I shouted as I quickly opened the door with shaking hands.

I could not believe my eyes and was totally flabbergasted as this was unbelievable, an unexpected surprise. I moved forward and wrapped my arms around his neck to pull him closer. The clocks had stopped and everything came to a standstill as I tipped his face down towards me and hugged him tightly as to my longingness, my son was in my arms. Seeing him, touching him after such a long time All the emotions embedded for in the tears of joy as kissed him with the satisfaction of him being with me and need I had never believed that I’d feel so. But today, there was even more to it. In that moment, it seemed that my family is complete, I am complete!  No matter how much in touch with him I remained on skype or phones, I don’t know how long I stood there with him wrapped around in my arms, I was completely awash in the feel of my son’s presence in real and this was all that mattered right now. This the best Mother’s day gift to me in my lifetime.
